Petra Lilja got her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Lund in Sweden and her Master of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, New York, USA. She also studied Interior Design at Denmark´s School of Design in Copenhagen.
After a number of years working in New York she moved back to Malmö, Sweden and founded her company in 2005. Her work is pervaded by a collaborational spirit and she has a strong network of collaborators globally as well as locally.
In 2007 Petra Lilja & colleague Jenny Nordberg founded APOKALYPS LABOTEK, an experimental design studio focusing on sustainable design solutions. The work of ALT can be viewed at www.apokalypslabotek.se
